Description

  • Facilitate Scrum events and coach teams to self-organize and continuously improve.
  • Design and lead retrospectives tailored to team needs.
  • Assess team Agile maturity and adapt coaching to strengths and weaknesses.
  • Guide teams in applying lean and agile principles to improve delivery.
  • Support multiple interdependent teams in working together effectively.
  • Foster collaboration between Scrum teams and stakeholders.
  • Mediate conflicts and support healthy team dynamics.
  • Support onboarding and agile adoption for new team members and teams.
  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
  • Prepare and present sprint reports, including velocity, capacity, and predictability metrics.
  • Build and maintain workflows and automation to improve team and department efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product teams on backlog management and prioritization.
  • Assist in roadmap development and release forecasting using agile metrics.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Project Managers on larger initiatives.
  • Track quarterly goals for team(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or 5 years of work experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple agile frameworks and how to apply them effectively.
  • Experience teaching and organizing Scrum and agile framework education.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including building consensus, mediating conflict, and highlighting solutions.
  • Understanding of business strategy techniques such as Lean Startup and Design Thinking.
  • Experience implementing forecasting and release planning practices, including quarterly planning and iterative roadmapping using velocity, capacity, and predictability data.
  • Understanding of emergent architecture and how to apply it to iterative development and incremental delivery.
  • Understanding of CI/CD techniques for delivering complex software solutions.
  • Proficiency in building complex automations to increase Scrum team efficiency.
  • Experience guiding teams toward self-organization and accountability.
  • Leadership experience supporting the growth of individual Scrum Masters and broader teams.

Benefits

  • Remote, US base salary range: $93,200–$147,000 USD.
  • New York, NY base salary range: $117,600–$147,000 USD.
  • Denver, CO base salary range: $108,000–$135,000 USD.
