Description

  • Facilitate Scrum events and coach teams to self-organize and continuously improve.
  • Design and lead retrospectives tailored to team needs.
  • Assess team Agile maturity and adapt coaching approaches to team strengths and weaknesses.
  • Guide teams in applying lean and agile principles to improve delivery.
  • Support multiple interdependent teams in working together effectively.
  • Foster collaboration between Scrum teams and stakeholders.
  • Mediate conflicts and support healthy team dynamics.
  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
  • Use empirical data to drive continuous improvement and present sprint metrics such as velocity, capacity, and predictability.
  • Collaborate with product teams on backlog management, prioritization, roadmap development, and release forecasting.
  • Build and maintain workflows and automation to improve team and department efficiency.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Project Managers on larger initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or 5 years of related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple agile frameworks and how to apply them effectively.
  • Experience teaching, organizing, and sharing educational information on Scrum and agile frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including building consensus, mediating conflict, and highlighting innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of business strategy techniques such as Lean Startup and Design Thinking and their impact on product delivery.
  • Experience implementing forecasting and release planning practices, including quarterly planning and roadmapping iterative releases using velocity, capacity, and predictability data.
  • Understanding of emergent architecture and CI/CD techniques.
  • Experience building complex automations to improve Scrum team efficiency.
  • Ability to guide teams toward self-organization and accountability.
  • Leadership experience that supports the growth of individual Scrum Masters and the broader team.

Benefits

  • Remote, US salary range of $93,200 to $147,000 USD.
  • New York, NY salary range of $117,600 to $147,000 USD.
  • Denver, CO salary range of $108,000 to $135,000 USD.
