Description

  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, IT Security & Compliance, and AI Development teams on privacy matters.
  • Identify gaps in privacy processes and controls and implement improvements, including software and automation solutions.
  • Develop and enhance privacy policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Monitor privacy legislation, regulations, and industry trends and assess their impact on programs, notices, products, and operations.
  • Support technical privacy compliance work such as data mapping, privacy impact assessments, and rights requests.
  • Coordinate data breach and security incident response with business units.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, questionnaires, and vendor assessments related to privacy, compliance, and ITSC.
  • Support special projects for the Privacy Office.
  • Ensure adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct and report noncompliance as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data or information privacy, preferably supporting a corporate privacy or data protection program.
  • Strong understanding of data protection and privacy laws, especially HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and other state privacy frameworks.
  • Experience with ongoing privacy compliance and monitoring activities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple privacy initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commitment to continuously developing privacy knowledge and skills.
  • Experience administering or customizing Privacy SaaS platforms such as OneTrust is strongly preferred.
  • CIPT, CIPM, CIPP, CDPSE, or a similar certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a health care provider, payer, or other health care-related organization is preferred.
  • Prior experience with data governance committees or initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience with AI laws and frameworks is preferred.

Benefits

  • Remote position based in the U.S.
  • Base salary range of $92,000 to $115,000 USD.
