Description

  • Provide oversight and direction to the broader Account Management team to support client satisfaction, growth, retention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the client relationship strategy and strategic business planning process for accounts in the portfolio.
  • Maintain and track contractual obligations, including financials, performance guarantees, terms, reporting, and compliance.
  • Manage and facilitate account renewals and contracting with a focus on retention and financial/PNL management.
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for assigned clients and build relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
  • Anticipate client needs and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to customize offerings and solutions that align with client needs and market demands.
  • Analyze pharmacy and healthcare trends, competitor activity, and regulations to inform strategy and recommendations.
  • Lead, coach, and support the account team in positioning Capital Rx's value proposition, products, and JUDI capabilities.
  • Partner with Business Development and Underwriting on RFPs, broker/consultant engagement, and best-and-final support for growth and retention.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvement efforts.
  • Own the client end to end, including service deliverables, contractual negotiations, escalations, and PNL management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in health administration, business, or relevant professional experience; B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of relevant pharmacy experience in a health plan, managed care, or PBM environment.
  • Experience working with Health Plans and payer commercial lines, including insured, self-funded, exchange, and government program business lines.
  • Health plan industry experience is preferred.
  • Market and operational knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and health exchange pharmacy is a plus.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated business lines is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build trust in internal and external relationships.
  • Strong solution-focused problem solving and client positioning skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence peers, lead cross-functional initiatives, meet deadlines, and execute deliverables.
  • Sound leadership, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, flexible, able to shift priorities, and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and large data sets, plus other industry software programs.
  • Ability to travel and present to small and large groups, with travel up to 25% depending on season and business cycle.

Benefits

  • Remote work option for non-local candidates or hybrid work for candidates local to the NYC area.
  • Base salary range of $129,600 to $204,500 USD for remote US candidates.
  • Base salary range of $163,600 to $204,500 USD for New York, NY candidates.
  • Base salary range of $150,000 to $187,500 USD for Denver, CO candidates.
