Description

  • Design, develop, and productionize machine learning solutions for document understanding, search and Q&A, GenAI, and virtual agents.
  • Develop and maintain backend services in Python for AI-driven applications.
  • Design APIs that integrate AI models and services into products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders as a machine learning subject matter expert.
  • Own the full ML lifecycle, including problem definition, data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AI models, integrations, deployments, and backend services.
  • Implement telemetry, A/B testing, and automated validation to measure and improve model effectiveness.
  • Document development processes, system designs, and architectural decisions.
  • Ensure healthcare data security and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • 6+ years of industry experience with a strong focus on ML solution development and production deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, efficient algorithms, and software development best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as PyTorch.
  • Experience with statistical machine learning and AI for NLP, speech, RAG, virtual agents, and/or document processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with GenAI services such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemma.
  • Experience developing and fine-tuning prompts for GenAI services.
  • Experience working with microservices or API-based application architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and logical thinking.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Good written communication skills for remote collaboration.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $180,400-$225,500 in New York, $165,600-$207,000 in Denver, or $150,400-$188,000 in Charlotte.
