Description

  • Design and implement cloud-native database infrastructure across multi-cloud environments using infrastructure automation tools.
  • Automate database configuration management, security hardening, patching, and operational workflows to reduce manual effort.
  • Develop internal tools and scripts to help production support teams manage database instances and environments safely.
  • Integrate observability and AIOps platforms to define SLOs, detect anomalies, and forecast database degradation.
  • Design and govern AI-powered agents for autonomous self-healing and automated resource management.
  • Implement advanced monitoring for database latency, throughput, error rates, connection pools, and other key metrics.
  • Execute backup and restore strategies and validate recovery procedures for production databases.
  • Troubleshoot database-layer and platform-layer issues with application operations and production support teams.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for outages, performance degradations, and data integrity issues.
  • Implement scaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization strategies for database environments.
  • Support performance tuning initiatives and manage secrets, access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
  • 4+ years of experience in public cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Demonstrable expertise designing and operationalizing solutions with AWS Bedrock/Agent Frameworks and Azure Copilot for database operations.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including supervising AI-generated infrastructure artifacts.
  • Expertise integrating observability platforms with AI/ML systems for predictive analysis and anomaly detection.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and BI/data tooling such as Informatica PowerCenter, PowerBI, Cognos, Sapiens, Alteryx, IDMC/ILM, SAS, BusinessObjects, Glue, SPSS, or ODI.
  • Experience working with enterprise database security, compliance, encryption, audit logging, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Experience supporting regulated environments with requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR.

  • Experience with AI-driven RCA, self-healing automation, or predictive database operations is preferred by the role scope.
