Description

  • Collect customer business requirements and advise on Ubuntu and relevant open source applications.
  • Identify customer challenges with open source and explain how Ubuntu Pro can address them.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and current clients.
  • Collaborate with product teams by sharing customer requirements and influencing roadmap decisions.
  • Work closely with enterprise sales leads to support sales efforts and achieve team targets.
  • Support the adoption of Ubuntu Pro within Canonical’s large enterprise user base.
  • Participate in global travel for internal events, customer meetings, and industry meetings.

Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish and English skills are mandatory.
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical subject, or a compelling alternative career path.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualisation, containers, and networking.
  • Intermediate Python programming skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with Linux, with Debian or Ubuntu preferred.
  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including company events up to two weeks long.
  • Interest in enterprise open source, including private clouds, machine learning and AI, data and analytics.
  • A business-minded approach to technology and problem solving.
  • Personal passion for technology demonstrated through projects or initiatives.
  • Preferred: experience working in a customer-facing presales or sales engineering role.
