Description

  • Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction and help establish project design goals and systems.
  • Participate in or lead project planning sessions, engineering meetings, and project teamwork coordination.
  • Serve as project manager or project engineering leader as needed and own engineering scope, financial goals, and work goals.
  • Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems in compliance with applicable codes.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications, and specify electrical equipment.
  • Provide quality control reviews of engineering documents and guide less experienced team members in drawing production.
  • Participate in value engineering sessions and recommend process improvements to improve quality and coordination.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and evaluate change orders during construction administration.
  • Conduct job site visits, observe construction progress, and participate in construction meetings.
  • Support cyber-informed design and operational technology security efforts, including risk tracking, compliance documentation, and owner updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering required; an ABET-accredited degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
  • Current U.S. PE license preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes required.
  • Ability to work independently across all electrical disciplines with no oversight or guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with clients and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with engineering design software such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools required.
  • Familiarity with operational technology systems, cyber-informed design principles, NIST SP 800-82, or critical infrastructure security considerations preferred.
  • Ability to provide a resume and portfolio when applying.
