Description

  • Conceptualize design solutions in collaboration with design leaders and team members and develop them through all project phases.
  • Translate shared design goals and ideas for both internal teams and clients.
  • Focus on schematic design and design development while coordinating closely with project architects on detailing and construction documentation.
  • Provide design intent guidance during the construction administration phase.
  • Prepare and direct client presentation materials, including 2D and 3D visualizations, and lead design presentations when needed.
  • Collaborate with interior designers and typology subject matter experts to develop holistic exterior-to-interior design solutions.
  • Work with technical leaders and engineers to coordinate design intent with building systems and other disciplines.
  • Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies, including support for energy modeling efforts.
  • Apply these approaches on large-scale projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Mentor emerging professionals and help foster a collaborative, innovative studio culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field required; degree from an accredited architecture program preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
  • Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or comparable software preferred.
  • Experience with real-time and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, demonstrated through a portfolio of visualization work.
  • Experience with digital media creation and editing in Adobe Creative Cloud required.
  • Some experience with computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.
  • Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve design intent.
