Description

  • Perform building performance analysis and create graphical representations of results for cross-team communication.
  • Develop visual analyses of energy use, thermal envelope performance, daylighting, glare, thermal comfort, renewable energy, climate, massing, and orientation metrics.
  • Produce detailed energy and daylighting analyses to inform early design simulations and feedback.
  • Manage documentation for LEED energy credits, energy code compliance reports, and other performance rating systems.
  • Research performance modeling methodologies, workflows, and software to improve high-performance design delivery.
  • Provide client and project team leadership across multiple projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to internal and external clients.
  • Develop research materials, case studies, and white papers with findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in developing narratives, project approaches, and fees for proposals.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • LEED, CPHC\D, BEMP, or similar certification is strongly desired.
  • Professional Engineer or Registered Architect designation is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, energy modeling, and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with A/E/C industry trends related to high-performance buildings.
  • Experience with net-zero energy buildings and advanced metering technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with building typologies such as healthcare, laboratory, office, and educational facilities is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with EnergyPlus/OpenStudio is required; IES-VE or eQuest experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE Standard 90.1, ASHRAE Standard 62.1, LEED Reference Guides, California Title 24, IECC, and other energy-related codes.
  • Familiarity with computational design and programming languages such as Grasshopper, Python, or C# is strongly desired.
  • Experience with Climate Studio and Ladybug tools is strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and R is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency with BIM applications is a plus.
