Description

  • Manage relationships, expectations, and business opportunities with existing customers across the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, expansion, and upselling within existing accounts.
  • Balance territory efforts between account development and new business acquisition, with a strong emphasis on customer retention.
  • Maintain regular customer contact through a structured sales calendar with defined goals for each interaction.
  • Leverage the agent network and internal technical and business resources to support sales growth and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Own account metrics, including quality performance, buying patterns, and forecast versus actual results, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to resolve customer issues and communicate contract changes or account-impacting information.
  • Build account profiles that identify economic buyers, influencers, and technical buyers, and develop forecasts and strategies for each account.
  • Manage leads through the sales funnel and pursue strategic growth initiatives to close new business at the required pace.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and technology trends to identify threats, opportunities, and emerging trends.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of administrative experience, with customer service experience and/or training considered an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, spoken and written, is required.
  • Key account management experience within the utility industry is an asset.
  • Experience working with agents is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Contract and/or project management experience is required.
  • Experience with an ERP or MRP system is an asset.
  • Transformer manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to travel as required.
