Description

  • Own delivery of professional services projects and interim leader engagements from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop workplans, launch engagements, coordinate resources, and manage milestones, risks, dependencies, scope, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary delivery contact for client executives, sponsors, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead client meetings, communicate progress, address concerns, and align work with institutional priorities.
  • Direct and coach matrixed project teams, set expectations, and provide substantive performance feedback.
  • Manage engagement economics, forecasts, utilization, revenue recognition, expenses, and gross margin performance.
  • Identify client needs and qualified opportunities, and support proposals, solution design, finalist presentations, and account strategy.
  • Share delivery insights and recommend improvements to professional services offerings, tools, processes, and practices.
  • Travel to client sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional services, consulting, project/program delivery, or comparable client-services leadership experience managing concurrent engagements.
  • 5+ years of experience working in higher education or with organizations serving higher education institutions.
  • Experience managing workplans, schedules, deliverables, risks, budgets, forecasts, and engagement economics.
  • Ability to lead matrixed teams, including consultants who do not directly report to the role.
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships and working with executives and institutional decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of professional services revenue, utilization, forecasting, scope management, and gross margin.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and ability to navigate competing priorities, organizational dependencies, resource constraints, and complex client situations.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible professional services, consulting, client engagement, or higher education leadership experience preferred; transformation leadership experience preferred.
