Description

  • Serve as interim Bursar and provide day-to-day leadership for bursar/student accounts staff.
  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate bursar/student accounts projects and priorities.
  • Assess the efficiency of bursar/student accounts operations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Design and deliver training for end users and client teams.
  • Advise clients on aligning policy, process, procedures, personnel, and technology.
  • Help institutions optimize ERP and student accounts functionality to support financial operations.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to evaluate current processes and design future-state processes.
  • Support process and technical solution development, testing, rollout, and implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a college or university Bursar or in a related higher education role.
  • Experience with a higher education ERP system such as Ellucian Colleague, Banner, Jenzabar, or Workday.
  • Hands-on experience with bursar/student accounts functionality and training end users.
  • Experience assessing bursar/student accounts operations and recommending process improvements.
  • Experience recommending policy changes, staffing alignment changes, and role/responsibility realignment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups and building consensus.
  • Ability to prepare organizations and individuals for change and continuous improvement.
  • Superior communication skills and a consultative approach with clients.
  • Preference for candidates open to full-time or 1099 contract consulting opportunities.
