Description

  • Serve as interim Financial Aid Director and provide day-to-day leadership for financial aid department staff.
  • Oversee, direct, guide, and coordinate current financial aid projects and priorities.
  • Assess the efficiency of the financial aid and student accounts department.
  • Consult with higher education clients on a range of financial aid topics and challenges.
  • Guide clients through financial aid regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Design and deliver training for new users and client teams.
  • Help clients align policy, process, procedures, and personnel to better leverage financial aid solutions.
  • Review current processes and recommend future-state improvements to financial aid operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of college student financial aid.
  • Deep understanding of financial aid administration, Title IV programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience serving as a Director, Associate Director, or Assistant Director in a college or university financial aid program.
  • Experience with highly automated financial aid management systems and Financial Aid ERP software.
  • Hands-on ability to configure, set up, and train end users on financial aid software features and functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and support full technology adoption.
  • Strong leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups and building consensus.
  • Financial aid business process and operations review experience, including policy, staffing, and organizational alignment recommendations.
  • Superior communication skills and a consultative approach with end clients.
  • Preferred/possible role format: full-time or 1099 contract consultant, with remote, on-site, or hybrid/frequent travel arrangements.
