Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective member agencies.
  • Drive new member growth through outreach, prospecting, onboarding, and consistent follow-through.
  • Manage ongoing member relationships through regular check-ins, account management, and retention efforts.
  • Support member adoption of CaDC’s tools and software through demos, training, troubleshooting, and feedback collection.
  • Use member input to help shape new member benefits and future offerings.
  • Own the vision and oversight of the annual California Water Data Summit, including agenda development and sponsor coordination.
  • Plan and run quarterly webinars and other member events.
  • Coordinate committee and work group logistics, including scheduling, agendas, action items, and follow-through.
  • Cultivate and manage sponsor relationships, especially for the Water Data Summit.
  • Lead member-facing marketing and communications, including newsletters, social media, and member updates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in member success, customer success, account management, partnerships, community management, or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking to both executive leadership and frontline staff.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage large volumes of information.
  • Comfort working remotely and asynchronously using tools such as email, Slack, Notion, Asana, Zoom, and MS Teams.
  • A genuine interest in helping people.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of California’s water sector or experience working with water utilities is preferred.
  • Experience selling or driving adoption of software products is preferred.
  • Experience planning conferences, summits, or large stakeholder events is preferred.
  • Experience in marketing or branding, or comfort directing creative and marketing contractors, is preferred.
  • Experience growing an organization or building from scratch is preferred.

Benefits

  • Target salary of $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
