Description

  • Design, implement, and support core features and architecture for Calendly’s AI Notetaker and meeting recap functionality.
  • Build new product features that expand Notetaker functionality and add support for additional user types.
  • Contribute to platform-scaling initiatives to support rapid growth and increased usage.
  • Build tooling and automation to improve the delivery process and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to refine requirements and deliver high-quality features.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, plan work with the team, and coordinate across squads to improve engineering practices.
  • Review implementation plans and pull requests from peers and provide technical feedback.
  • Mentor, coach, and support the growth of other engineers on the team.
  • Own features end-to-end, including technical discovery, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside regular working hours.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Professional experience with Node.js (preferred) and professional experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with React or a comparable UI framework (desirable).
  • Hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), microservices, and involvement in significant product-scaling initiatives.
  • Proven ability to own features end-to-end (technical discovery, implementation, testing, release, maintenance).
  • Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and ability to evaluate and defend generated code.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States (Calendly does not sponsor immigration).
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational needs.
  • Familiarity or willingness to work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Node.js, React, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Redis (preferred).

Benefits

  • Tiered annual base salary ranges: Tier 1 $224,400–$283,300 USD; Tier 2 $205,700–$260,150 USD; Tier 3 $187,000–$236,500 USD.
  • Eligibility for Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive) for full-time employees (30 hours/week).
  • Equity awards as part of total compensation.
