Description

  • Manage complex technical accounting projects and oversee related operational accounting processes.
  • Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards in accordance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting topics including revenue recognition, lease accounting, commissions, business combinations, and consolidations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for technical accounting matters and support operational teams on accurate, compliant accounting transactions.
  • Oversee and refine accounting policies to align financial reporting with operational and business goals.
  • Work with operations teams to identify process improvements and streamline accounting functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate accounting systems with operational workflows.
  • Evaluate operational processes and recommend improvements to financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Manage special projects involving operational improvements, systems upgrades, and finance transformations.
  • Prepare and present annual financial statements and monitor key financial performance metrics and project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience accounting for complex transactions.
  • Proven experience driving operational improvements, including process automation, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with financial systems, including ERP and BI tools, and operational system integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into accounting solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects and deliver on time and within scope.
