Description

  • Lead the frontline sales team across the full sales cycle, from lead generation through close.
  • Run personal deals during the first six months while serving as a player-coach.
  • Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and solution presentations with school district stakeholders.
  • Manage RFP submissions, contract negotiations, and complex procurement cycles.
  • Coach, train, and mentor full-cycle account executives to improve performance and quota attainment.
  • Build and refine sales processes, playbooks, and team operating rhythms.
  • Develop and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy for K-12 software sales using inbound and outbound motions.
  • Manage pipeline health, forecasting, and sales metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships with transportation directors, superintendents, IT leaders, and procurement teams.
  • Represent BusPlanner at industry conferences, association events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership, RevOps, and Marketing to align messaging, processes, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying software sales experience.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience managing frontline sales reps.
  • Proven track record of personally exceeding quota and leading teams to consistently hit or surpass targets.
  • Direct experience selling into the K-12 education market.
  • Understanding of procurement cycles, RFP processes, and multi-stakeholder decision-making in K-12 sales.
  • Ability to operate as a player-coach and run your own deals while managing a team.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build and scale repeatable sales processes in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience managing pipeline health, forecasting, and CRM data to support decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for influencing senior district stakeholders.
  • Experience representing a company at industry conferences, trade shows, or association events.
