Description

  • Hire, coach, and lead a team of up to 9 Expansion Account Executives.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas.
  • Execute a solution-based sales process for Commercial Accounts in the 200-500 employee range.
  • Develop and prospect new business opportunities within existing customers by identifying high-value needs across departments and lines of business.
  • Expand Smartsheet’s footprint within existing accounts and drive revenue growth during renewals.
  • Present Smartsheet’s organizational solutions and functional value to customers.
  • Partner with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Sales Development, and Customer Success teams to support the full sales cycle and close business.
  • Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and use MEDDICC qualification guidelines to support forecasting.
  • Use sales enablement tools and account research to identify top accounts and execute territory plans.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience managing and closing complex sales cycles.
  • 3+ years of successful sales management experience.
  • Experience selling in the technology field and/or SaaS.
  • Experience engaging senior executives to develop long-range goals and monitor performance against objectives.
  • Ability to continuously improve processes, adopt best practices, and champion new ideas.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead with empathy while balancing team needs and organizational goals.
  • Proven success building, growing, and managing a highly prolific sales team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau.
