Description

  • Nurture, maintain, and cultivate customer relationships and success for prospected, inactive, and current transactional/non-contract accounts.
  • Perform outbound prospecting, including targeted outreach to prior customers and users of competitors, to contribute to year-over-year business growth.
  • Make 50–75 outbound calls daily for first outreach and continued strategic targeting to onboard new clients.
  • Contact prospects and customers via telephone, email, and social media to position yourself as a resource and convey product value.
  • Field incoming emails and phone calls from prospective clients, handling queries on pricing, billing/collections, product information, and related topics.
  • Research prospects, identify stakeholders and multiple buyers, and satisfy/coordinate with buyer influencers to maximize results.
  • Communicate Business Wire’s value proposition and ROI effectively, and manage expectations while overcoming objections.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities (calls, meetings, opportunities, emails, social outreach) in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared results and support pursuit of contracts by account-managing teams.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across organizational hierarchies, including executive/C-level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections.
  • Self-disciplined, organized, ambitious, and able to consistently hit daily and monthly objectives.
  • Ability to communicate at a high level with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications (preferred).
  • BA/BS degree or international equivalent (preferred).
  • 3 years of sales experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and HubSpot (preferred).

  • Base salary range $64,000 to $67,000 per year (actual offer determined by experience, education, location, and internal equity).
