Description

  • Engage with healthcare business stakeholders, VPs, clinical leads, and operations owners to identify high-value problems and translate them into AI opportunities.
  • Map end-to-end business processes and identify where AI can reduce friction, lower cost, or speed up decisions.
  • Create lightweight scoping documents, ROI estimates, and success criteria before development begins.
  • Design and build working AI prototypes quickly using Claude and the modern AI development stack.
  • Develop full-stack AI applications with LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, REST API integrations, and lightweight front-end interfaces.
  • Own technical architecture end-to-end, from prompt design and data pipelines to user interfaces.
  • Iterate on solutions using real user feedback and move prototypes toward production-grade quality.
  • Partner with the AI Governance team to harden prototypes into enterprise-ready systems.
  • Apply responsible AI practices such as bias review, explainability, HIPAA compliance, audit logging, and model monitoring.
  • Document solutions clearly for handoff, scaling, maintenance, and reuse across engagements.
  • Participate in client business rhythm meetings, sprint reviews, steering committees, and executive status updates.
  • Communicate progress through live demos and working software, and surface blockers, dependencies, and risks early.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of healthcare industry experience, with direct hands-on experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical and operational workflows.
  • Proficiency with Claude (Anthropic) as a development tool, including demonstrated use of the Claude API, prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic patterns.
  • Ability to build and ship end-to-end AI applications independently, including LLM integration, RAG, agentic orchestration, REST API development, and lightweight front-end interfaces.
  • Proven ability to move from a business conversation to a working AI prototype in days, not sprints or quarters.
  • Strong business articulation and stakeholder communication skills for explaining technical work to healthcare executives without jargon.
  • Comfort participating in executive-level steering committees, briefings, and business meetings without hand-holding.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
  • Quantitative fluency for building credible ROI and impact estimates in business terms.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools.
  • Working familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data structures, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance.
  • Prior experience in a forward-deployed, embedded, consulting, startup, or similar full-stack ownership model.
  • Experience shipping AI in a health insurance technology company or health system, with awareness of compliance, audit trails, explainability, and data governance.
  • Experience building reusable AI platforms, accelerators, components, or frameworks for team adoption.
  • Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI practices in enterprise settings, including model risk management, bias evaluation, and audit logging.

Benefits

  • $200,000 - $300,000 a year compensation range.
  • Opportunity to work remotely.
  • Work on high-impact, enterprise AI transformation projects for healthcare clients.
  • Join an AI-first technology company backed by Bain Capital and Orogen Group.
  • Collaborate with executive teams and cross-functional client stakeholders in a client-embedded role.
  • Access to reusable AI accelerator work and broader internal applied AI knowledge sharing.
