Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and tooling for software-defined manufacturing.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
  • Write clear documentation and share knowledge across teams.
  • Work with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
  • Partner with adjacent teams to understand real-world usage of frameworks and infrastructure and continuously improve them.
  • Help improve developer velocity by applying recent advances to the platform stack.
  • Define, architect, implement, and deploy the software stack from robot to cloud.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • B.S. or M.S. degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including self-hosted and managed environments, and modern CNCF paradigms.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with bare-metal or on-prem infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience communicating with users, technical leaders, and management to gather requirements and describe system designs (preferred).
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of SDLC best practices, including code reviews, SCM, CI/CD, testing, and operations (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow other team members (preferred).
