Description

  • Build and lead a performance-driven, community-focused sales force, including hiring and performance management.
  • Motivate and guide teams through pre-launch, launch readiness, commercialization, and post-approval execution.
  • Set expectations for field force responsibilities and ensure compliant account research before launch.
  • Drive regional sales results by executing strategic account plans and meeting performance targets.
  • Review team performance metrics with the National Sales Director to optimize brand strategy execution and sales outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Director and Home Office partners to gather insights and inform national strategy and tactics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, customers, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to expand advocacy for the brand and company.
  • Model and reinforce a culture of compliance, integrity, accountability, and open communication across the team.
  • Lead the team in analyzing complex accounts, mapping account processes, and solving prioritized opportunities and problems.
  • Develop team capabilities by encouraging continuous learning, robust performance conversations, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • 5+ years of front-line leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success analyzing complex customers, developing account strategy, and driving team implementation.
  • Proven success leading teams in genetic, rare disease, ultra-rare disease, or skeletal dysplasia markets.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading a sales force from scratch with increasing scope and responsibility.
  • Strong sales leadership experience with a track record of mentoring, motivating, and developing diverse commercial teams.
  • Product or indication launch experience, including launching novel biotech therapies and creating new markets.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50%.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-powered tools and technologies.
