Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate revenue-generating agreements with customers and partners.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate inbound commercial contracts, including technology, master services, professional services, consulting, marketing, and event agreements.
  • Manage a high volume of commercial transactions while helping drive deal velocity and allocate risk appropriately.
  • Provide practical legal advice to cross-functional partners on contract terms, deal structures, and commercial legal risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, deal desk, partnerships, privacy, procurement, security, product, and engineering.
  • Translate business, operational, and product requirements into clear legal terms and conditions.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, escalating complex issues to senior legal team members when needed.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of contracting playbooks, templates, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Leverage and optimize contract lifecycle management systems and AI contracting tools.
  • Serve as a business partner to the company, not just as outside legal support.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience practicing commercial law, either in-house at a technology or financial services company or at a reputable law firm in corporate or technology transactions.
  • Strong contract drafting skills with precision and clarity.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating technology and commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, builder-oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership and improve internal processes and resources.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new things.
  • Sense of humor and ability to maintain perspective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of privacy issues in a commercial context, preferred.
  • Fintech experience or familiarity with financial services product structures, preferred.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) technology or AI-native contracting tools, preferred.

Benefits

  • Expected salary range of $220,000-$270,000 USD.
  • Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the total package.
  • Hybrid work schedule based in the Seattle office.
  • Minimum of two coordinated in-office days per week, with three days per week required starting February 2, 2026.
  • Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.
