Description

  • Design, build, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules across ITSM, HRSD, and SPM.
  • Develop and maintain Flow Designer automations, IntegrationHub spokes, and custom REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Build and optimize Service Portal pages, widgets, and UI components for self-service experiences.
  • Implement and maintain Virtual Agent conversations and NLU models for automated service delivery.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented server-side and client-side JavaScript.
  • Manage update sets, scoped application development, and deployments across development, test, and production instances.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and align work with ServiceNow best practices and governance frameworks.
  • Design and execute unit, integration, and regression tests, and support ATF setup and maintenance.
  • Monitor platform health, identify technical debt, and recommend improvements to workflows, configurations, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain integrations, import sets, transform maps, CMDB population strategies, and data synchronization pipelines.
  • Collaborate with architects, project leads, client technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions and gather feedback.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute technical documentation, including design specs and runbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with a strong full-lifecycle delivery track record.
  • Deep proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Proven experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and scripted REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Asset Management, plus at least one of HRSD or SPM.
  • Experience with Service Portal development, including custom widgets, Angular.js components, and CSS/SCSS styling.
  • Solid understanding of update set management, application scoping, and instance cloning strategies in multi-environment deployments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v4 processes and how they map to ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Preferred certifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and at least one CAD or CIS certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and performance analytics configuration is preferred.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ITOM, SecOps, or GRC modules is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines integrated with ServiceNow, such as Git, Jenkins, and ServiceNow DevOps.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, REST API design, JSON, and XML for advanced customization and integration work.
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies in consulting or agency environments.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with HR systems such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors, LDAP/AD, and enterprise middleware is preferred.
