Description

  • Design, build, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules across ITSM, HRSD, and SPM.
  • Develop workflows, service catalog items, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and script includes.
  • Build Flow Designer automations, IntegrationHub spokes, and custom REST/SOAP integrations with third-party enterprise systems.
  • Create and optimize Service Portal pages, widgets, and UI components for self-service experiences.
  • Implement and maintain Virtual Agent conversations and NLU models.
  • Write clean, well-documented server-side and client-side JavaScript following platform best practices.
  • Manage update sets, scoped application development, and deployments across development, test, and production instances.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and support platform governance.
  • Design and execute unit, integration, and regression testing, and support ATF setup and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain integrations, import sets, transform maps, CMDB population strategies, and data synchronization pipelines.
  • Monitor platform health, identify technical debt, and recommend improvements to workflows, configurations, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with architects, project leads, client teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements, estimate work, demonstrate functionality, and support UAT.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including design specs, integration runbooks, and onboarding guides.
  • Promote and enforce information security and data protection practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-7 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with a strong delivery track record across full-lifecycle implementations.
  • Deep proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Proven experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and scripted REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Asset Management.
  • Experience with at least one of HRSD or SPM.
  • Experience with Service Portal development, including custom widgets, Angular.js components, and CSS/SCSS styling.
  • Solid understanding of update set management, application scoping, and instance cloning strategies in multi-environment deployments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v4 processes and how they map to ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Preferred ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification and at least one CAD or CIS certification.
  • Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF) and performance analytics configuration is preferred.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ITOM, SecOps, or GRC modules is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines integrated with ServiceNow, such as Git, Jenkins, and ServiceNow DevOps.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, REST API design, JSON, and XML for customization and integration work.
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies in consulting or agency environments.
  • Ability to support information security, data privacy, and protection standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
