Description

  • Oversee bookkeeping and accounting work for the company books.
  • Update transactions and records in accounting software, spreadsheets, and bookkeeping databases.
  • Record cash receipts, distribute customer invoices, and help ensure receivables and payables are processed promptly.
  • Arrange payments to vendors and employees, prepare vouchers, and send proof of payment.
  • Reconcile accounts, including accounts payable to the general ledger, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain, organize, and safekeep financial documents and records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly accounts payable reports, cash flow reports, and monthly financial and management reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger entries and annualization.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits and help resolve irregularities or inquiries.
  • File monthly tax returns, audit liquidation reports, and assist with general financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with financial management software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Good project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Amenable to work at night, preferably 9 pm to 6 am.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, exercise extreme discretion, and adapt quickly to change.
  • Honest, trustworthy, proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn new processes.
