Description

  • Build dashboards, charts, and interactive views aligned to approved requirements, indicators, and business rules using Snowflake-curated data as the source of truth.
  • Develop standardized visualization components and templates to support consistency across products.
  • Implement indicator and metric logic in the BI layer, including calculations, measures, formatting, and labeling where appropriate.
  • Configure and maintain BI semantic layer and modeling artifacts such as Tableau data sources/extracts or Power BI datasets/models.
  • Improve performance and usability through tuning and optimization of queries, workbook/model design, visual density, and filter strategies.
  • Support release readiness and visual quality assurance, including filter behavior, crosstab consistency, export validation, and stakeholder review cycles.
  • Participate in DPH/LPH engagement and refinement sessions and translate feedback into prioritized visualization updates.
  • Work within a structured delivery environment using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
  • Lead or co-lead larger technical and advisory projects and contribute to project design as needed.
  • Manage projects to strong client satisfaction and contribute to proposals when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience, including 2+ years in an Associate role in a similar consulting environment.
  • 1-4 years of client-facing work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the public health space with demonstrated understanding of public health outcomes for communities or groups.
  • Demonstrated experience developing BI dashboards and analytical products for operational or executive audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using a cloud analytics database as a BI source; Snowflake is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing in Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools, including dashboard design, interactivity patterns, and publishing workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate requirements, business rules, and indicator definitions into well-structured dashboards and visualizations.
  • Experience designing for performance and maintainability, including efficient data source design, reusable components/templates, and scalable workbook/model structures.
  • Experience collaborating in a structured delivery environment such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to work across teams and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience supporting public sector and/or public health stakeholders is preferred.
  • Familiarity with public health datasets and reporting concepts such as rates, stratifications, and time trends is preferred.
  • Experience supporting iterative stakeholder review cycles and incorporating feedback into BI deliverables is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are preferred.
  • Experience with both Tableau and Power BI is valued.

  • Salary range of $79,040 to $112,320 annually.
