Description

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate business questions into Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that support user self-sufficiency and actionable insights.
  • Create advanced Power BI visualizations and performance-driven scorecards using interactive techniques and modern UI/UX best practices.
  • Perform ETL tasks by integrating data from disparate sources and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for reporting.
  • Use Power Query to shape, clean, and transform raw datasets into usable data models.
  • Leverage SQL Server expertise to design, optimize, and maintain database structures for reporting efficiency.
  • Monitor and improve Power BI performance by optimizing queries, managing data refresh schedules, and enhancing user experience.
  • Document data solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly to internal and external audiences.
  • Provide professional user training and support across a global organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a STEM field strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification is highly valued.
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Power BI Engineer or in a similar Business Intelligence role.
  • A strong portfolio of successful, high-impact dashboards and reports.
  • Deep knowledge of Power BI setup, configuration, and best practices.
  • Extensive practical experience with SQL, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
  • Ability to document, design, and model complex data solutions.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience delivering professional user training and support in a global organization.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and regulatory guidelines such as Health Canada and FDA is a definite asset.
