Description

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn requirements into scalable services.
  • Own features from conception through launch, including technical specs, implementation, and release.
  • Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews to uphold code quality.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues to improve scalability and reliability.
  • Stay current with trends, best practices, and new technologies in the Elixir ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development.
  • Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
  • Experience with OTP, concurrent systems, distributed systems, and functional programming principles.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Ecto.
  • Strong product sense and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an agile, collaborative team environment.
