Description

  • Design low-latency AWS service architectures with explicit p95/p99 latency budgets.
  • Architect audit, evidence, event-log, versioned-data, and deterministic replay systems.
  • Define fail-open, fail-closed, degraded-state, and outage-handling strategies.
  • Design secure multi-tenant systems using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Architect scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations with external services.
  • Develop capacity models and AWS cloud cost/performance projections.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions in client engineering and security reviews.
  • Contribute to complex client projects while maintaining ownership of deliverables and team commitments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in architecture-focused roles.
  • Substantial experience architecting large, complex systems end to end.
  • Deep AWS experience designing distributed, low-latency architectures.
  • Experience with synchronous durable commits, queues, caches, and search projections.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL/AuroraDB data modeling and Row-Level Security.
  • Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript expertise across the stack.
  • Expertise designing and building scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Experience with compliance-sensitive or regulated systems preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours and work effectively with AI coding assistants.
