Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document processes, business rules, data definitions, edge cases, risks, dependencies, and assumptions.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for new-project sizing.
  • Write Jira user stories with testable acceptance criteria and maintain current requirements documentation.
  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritize and groom backlogs for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to validate user flows and screens.
  • Answer engineering questions, clarify requirements, and manage decisions throughout development.
  • Work with QA to translate acceptance criteria into test coverage and support user acceptance testing.
  • Capture compliance, security, and audit requirements, including SOC 2 considerations.
  • Serve as a client point of contact, communicate scope changes, and explain business and technical tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role on software projects.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions and converting ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Business-level experience with process mapping and data modeling.
  • Hands-on Jira experience; familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy covering APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains, such as SOC 2, telecom, education, or fintech, preferred.
  • Familiarity with third-party integrations, Laravel, React, AWS, estimation, or proposal work preferred.
