Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for sizing and planning.
  • Identify and resolve assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Write user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to prioritize and groom the backlog for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to align user flows and screens with requirements.
  • Support engineers during development by answering questions and maintaining current requirements.
  • Work with QA to translate acceptance criteria into test coverage and coordinate client user acceptance testing.
  • Capture compliance, security, and audit requirements, including SOC 2 considerations, and manage scope changes with clients.
  • Maintain organized requirements documentation in Google Drive and serve as a client point of contact for scope questions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar software project role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions and convert ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Experience with business-level process mapping and data modeling, including flows, entities, relationships, and rules.
  • Hands-on Jira experience; familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy sufficient to discuss APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains, such as SOC 2, telecom, education, or fintech, is preferred.
  • Experience with third-party integrations, project estimation or proposals, and technologies such as Laravel, React, or AWS is preferred.
