Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for new-project sizing.
  • Identify and resolve assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Write user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize and groom the backlog for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to validate flows and screens before development.
  • Support engineers during sprints and keep requirements current as decisions change.
  • Work with QA to translate acceptance criteria into test coverage and coordinate client user acceptance testing.
  • Capture compliance, security, and audit requirements, including SOC 2 considerations, while communicating scope and tradeoffs to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar software-project role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions and convert ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Experience with business-level process mapping and data modeling.
  • Hands-on Jira experience, plus familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy involving APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment (preferred).
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains and third-party integrations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with web stacks such as Laravel and React, AWS, and project estimation or proposal work (preferred).
