Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of clients’ Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure stability and reliability of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom functionality and connected systems.
  • Execute seamless deployments while transitioning technical responsibilities.
  • Audit inherited codebases, identify technical debt, and document existing systems.
  • Optimize application performance, database queries, and caching layers.
  • Build and support integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools.
  • Collaborate on staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Support security practices, including patching and hardening across Magento and WordPress.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with caching/search technologies such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend tools such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST/GraphQL APIs and external business systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux-based servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
