Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of clients’ digital ecosystem.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the current Magento 2 instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, customizations, and related platform functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments while transitioning technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while identifying and documenting technical debt.
  • Build and maintain Magento and WordPress solutions, including custom themes, plugins, and platform-specific features.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through APIs.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to support high-traffic applications.
  • Work within staging-to-production deployment workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams on a variety of consulting projects.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience inheriting, auditing, and optimizing legacy codebases.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs for system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux-based environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
