Description

  • Design and build high-quality features for aging parents, pre-teen wearable users, and community groups.
  • Work with AI coding tools as a first-class collaborator to create specs, generate code and tests, verify results, and perform reviews.
  • Help define and codify AI-native engineering practices and playbooks for the Circle Expansion team.
  • Build across the full stack as needed to deliver polished, performant, and reliable experiences at scale.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to turn complex user problems into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Use agentic workflows to increase delivery speed without sacrificing quality.
  • Mentor team members and help evolve team processes and technical standards.
  • Support performance, reliability, and accessibility across owned features.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building high-quality, consumer-scale software products.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
  • Strong proficiency in mobile development (iOS or Android) is strongly preferred.
  • Web and backend experience with Java, Kubernetes, and AWS are valued alternatives.
  • Deep experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context window management, and MCP/function calling.
  • Track record of using AI tooling to multiply output beyond autocomplete.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with product, design, and platform engineers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is expected for daily workflow use.
  • Exceptional full-stack or backend engineering experience may be considered even without a mobile background.
