Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client digital ecosystems built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited codebases and legacy systems.
  • Optimize MySQL queries and caching layers to improve application performance.
  • Build and maintain integrations with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Work with staging-to-production workflows and manage Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related safeguards.
  • Collaborate across a distributed consulting environment and contribute to client-facing projects.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid working knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience inheriting, auditing, and optimizing existing codebases and documenting technical debt.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Magento frontend stack experience with Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience integrating systems via REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux servers using Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
