Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing reliability of the current Magento instance.
  • Build and maintain WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Audit, inherit, document, and optimize existing legacy codebases.
  • Identify and address technical debt across the platform.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools through APIs.
  • Optimize database performance, caching, and overall application performance.
  • Work with Linux-based server environments and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Apply security practices to support PCI compliance, Magento patching, and WordPress hardening.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with high-performance caching layers such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
