Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially assume full technical ownership of client digital platforms built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing reliability of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Execute seamless deployments as technical responsibilities are transitioned.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited legacy codebases and technical debt.
  • Design and implement improvements across backend, frontend, database, and integration layers.
  • Connect Magento and WordPress with external ERP, CRM, and marketing systems through APIs.
  • Support staging-to-production workflows and maintain Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento patching and WordPress hardening.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience with custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x, object-oriented programming, Composer, and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
