Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure the stability and ongoing performance of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while documenting technical debt and system behavior.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools using APIs.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to support high-traffic applications.
  • Work with Linux-based server environments and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento security patching and WordPress hardening.
  • Collaborate with the consultancy team and contribute to client-facing project delivery.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with legacy codebases, identify technical debt, and document inherited systems.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Git, staging-to-production deployments, and Linux server environments such as Nginx/Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
  • Remote work eligibility for Latin America, with the role based in Valparaíso, Chile.
  • Ability to work full-time in a consulting environment.
