Description

  • Maintain and stabilize the existing Magento 2 instance.
  • Manage and support WordPress integrations, themes, and plugins.
  • Take ownership of inherited codebases by auditing, documenting, and improving technical debt.
  • Execute deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers for high-traffic applications.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external ERP, CRM, and marketing systems via APIs.
  • Collaborate on frontend and backend development across PHP, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
  • Support Linux-based server environments and web stack configuration.
  • Apply security best practices, including compliance-aware patching and hardening.
  • Help transition and expand technical ownership of client digital ecosystems.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect external systems.
  • Strong Git, staging-to-production, and Linux server management skills with Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
