Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client digital ecosystems.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, customizations, and related site functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments during the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Audit inherited codebases, identify technical debt, and document existing systems.
  • Optimize backend performance, database queries, and caching layers.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external business systems.
  • Support secure operations by applying patching, hardening, and compliance-related practices.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team members on delivery, maintenance, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to work with legacy codebases, audit existing systems, and identify technical debt.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and integrations with ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
