Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client digital ecosystems.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, customizations, and related site functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments during the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Inherit, audit, document, and optimize existing codebases and legacy systems.
  • Collaborate on connecting Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to support high-traffic applications.
  • Maintain secure environments by applying Magento security patches and WordPress hardening practices.
  • Work with staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Contribute to client projects in a consulting environment with varied technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to inherit, audit, and optimize existing codebases and identify technical debt.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with caching layers such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Specific experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate external systems.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar certification is preferred.
