Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take over full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Audit inherited codebases, identify technical debt, and document existing systems.
  • Optimize application performance, including database queries and caching layers.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools.
  • Work with staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security best practices, including Magento patching, WordPress hardening, and PCI-related protections.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, or Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a plus.
  • Experience integrating systems via REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, staging-to-production deployment workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
