Description

  • Maintain and support clients’ Magento 2 instances to ensure stability and reliability.
  • Manage and develop WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugins.
  • Take over technical ownership of existing codebases and document inherited systems and technical debt.
  • Audit, optimize, and improve legacy PHP applications and related infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external ERP, CRM, or marketing tools.
  • Execute deployments and support staging-to-production release workflows.
  • Optimize database performance and caching layers to improve application speed and scalability.
  • Work with frontend technologies to support and extend the user experience across platforms.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams on technical delivery and ongoing maintenance.
  • Apply security and compliance best practices to protect customer and company data.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Advanced PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux-based server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
  • Experience inheriting, auditing, and optimizing legacy codebases is highly valued.
