Description

  • Design and develop low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs on AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and integrate external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL, manage database schemas and migrations, and implement Row-Level Security.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration testing with real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Work across varied client projects using modern technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row-Level Security, and secure multi-tenant systems.
  • Proficiency with raw SQL and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional React experience and a solid understanding of full-stack development.
  • Experience testing against real databases and using failure-mode or fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD application creation and maintenance.
  • Experience working with AI coding assistants and large, complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree, ability to overlap US business hours, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
