Description

  • Design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Build and maintain secure multi-tenant environments and database systems.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs and APIs.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD applications and pipelines.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration, failure-mode, and fault-injection tests.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while overlapping US business hours.
  • Take ownership and accountability for project deliverables and team commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience designing secure multi-tenant systems.
  • Experience with SDK integrations, raw SQL, and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices using real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, best-practices knowledge, ownership, and client focus.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
