Description

  • Design domain models, bounded contexts, and service architectures for card-network reference data.
  • Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot services using PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Drools, and scheduled jobs.
  • Design integration workflows with Apache Camel and event-driven systems using Kafka.
  • Develop micro-frontend applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Own OAuth2/OIDC identity architecture, including Okta integration, token validation, and session management.
  • Govern AWS IAM, S3, CloudFront, and multi-environment cloud architecture.
  • Lead deployments, test-driven development, and continuous testing automation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design and execute performance testing, identify bottlenecks, and improve high-throughput payment services.
  • Modernize legacy applications by migrating services to cloud-native environments such as OpenShift.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural planning, PCI data-purging initiatives, and cross-team technical collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily with Java.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent specialized training and progressively responsible technology experience.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL; PostgreSQL Aurora and Liquibase are preferred.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or equivalent containerized environments.
  • Experience with Spring Boot/JPA, Drools or similar rules engines, and Apache Camel or equivalent integration frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, including topic/schema design and producer/consumer reliability patterns.
  • Production experience applying domain-driven design and designing authorization or data-access controls.
  • Experience governing AWS IAM, S3, CloudFront, or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, micro-frontends, and independently deployable frontend systems.
  • Experience with OAuth2/OIDC, Okta, performance testing, CI/CD automation, PCI compliance, and distributed systems; payments or financial-services experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across large, matrixed programs and ambiguous environments.
  • PGLogical, AI-assisted development tools, card-network integrations, or air-gapped environments are preferred.
  • Work authorization sponsorship is not available.
