Description

  • Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure using services such as ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Manage production Aurora/PostgreSQL environments, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build and maintain containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
  • Automate deployments and validate rollback procedures through regular rollback drills.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
  • Conduct load testing and operate services against latency SLOs and error budgets.
  • Apply security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance, and infrastructure-hardening practices.
  • Support SOC 2 or similar audit evidence requests and client security reviews.
  • Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and client project delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Production experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL, including failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Docker, ECS/Fargate, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and tested rollback paths.
  • Experience with observability tools and load testing using k6 or similar technologies.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance hardening, SOC 2 support, and client security reviews.
  • Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and large complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with availability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, client focus, and adherence to best practices.
  • Experience with S3 Object Lock, long-term archival, secure multi-tenant environments, PostgreSQL Row-Level Security, database migrations, or expand/contract schema changes preferred.
  • Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy industries preferred.
